Sabine Klaus-Carter Msc, is CEO and Creator of Calvin’s Free From Foods, and Calvin’s Mummy.
When her son Calvin was diagnosed with multiple severe food allergies she embarked on a journey of making the best out of it. She missed basic essentials like good bread in their diet and gut strengthening free from foods that bring their bodies to optimum health despite their allergy challenges and limitations.
She has always been passionate about healthy eating, especially for her sports like ballet and body building for which the right nutrition are absolutely vital. You can read more about her inspirations in her blog and Calvin’s allergy story here.
Ed Smith BAcc CA ACT is a non-executive Director and proud investor in Calvin’s Free From Foods.
Ed is a Chartered Accountant and reformed banker with 24 years’ experience at JP Morgan and then with global Food & Agri specialist Rabobank, including seven years working in The Netherlands where he held Global Head and CEO business roles.
Since returning to the U.K. in 2014, he has mostly been supporting young Scottish companies, either providing direct equity investment (he is a member of two Angel syndicates), assisting them with business development via his network or else acting as general wingman and challenger for ambitious CEO’s.
He understands enough about the international food & drink landscape to know Calvin’s Free From Foods is positioned in the sweet spot of healthy food made from only quality ingredients, but he still needs the occasional lorne sausage roll and Irn Bru to make sense of life.
